STAP Vouchers

***Breaking News***

September 1, 2013. The STAP program has been transferred from the Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUC) to the Department of Assistive and Rehabilitative Services (DARS). Please be patient until DARS is able to have a new STAP person to do the same duties that were formerly performed by the PUC and hopefully change the rules in favor of the consumer with a 2-Way Paging Device or Bluetooth Cell Phone voucher.

At the moment, no new device is being approved. However, the iPhone 5S/5C and Samsung Galaxy Note 3 have been approved. The list of approved devices can be found at

Although the STAP program is requiring us to bill the State at the cost or below what we buy our phones for devices with a 2-year contract, we are back handling devices with a 2-year contract. The voucher recipient may need to pay some money out of pocket though.  Please contact us for more details.
